29/07/2010 - DOW becomes Worlwide Partner of the 2012-2020 Olympic Games For more than two decades, Dow has been producing materials vital to thousands of products that come together to facilitate the success and competitions of the Olympic Games. From providing STYROFOAM® brand insulation in ice rinks at the 1980 Lake Placid “Miracle on Ice” venue to helping cool the Nordic Ski jumping at the recent games in Vancouver, Dow has been proud to be part of the Olympic Movement. On July 16 Dow continued and strengthened its support of the Olympic Movement by becoming a Worldwide Partner and the “Official Chemistry Company” of the 2012-2020 Olympic Games.
